I thought I was the only one who did that. I write stuff on my hands and arms all the time, but afterwards, I transfer it onto paper.. so no difference.

Nope, you are not alone. It's easier, more convenient, and just plain cheaper. Also, if you use the write kind of pen it stays for quite some time. Might as well be conservative

Ugh, I've had quite a few teachers obsessed with essays. I don't mind writing essays if the students can pick their own topic. I hate when they give out one boring topic and all the students have to write on that one topic.

It's no telling how many packs of paper I've used over the years and I'm talking about computer paper and notebook paper.

Ugh, same here. I also hate it when the teacher tells us the min and max pages we can write, what words to use, what format, etc. I mean... if they're gonna tell us to write essays, might as well let us write it how we want to.

Which reminds me, this year, I have this french teacher that tells us to write 10 setences in each paragraph, and at least 12 words in each sentence. So, for example, if I wanted to say, "I like snow" I would have to say, "I really, really, really, like snow, espcially when they have just fallen." Details.. who needs them.

I agree. In Senior Lit, I had to write this paper over the Bubonic Plague (nice topic, eh) and I had this really long paper. I think I had like 700 to 800 words in the essay and the teacher told me to cut it down to 500 words. Do you know how hard it is to cut out that many words? When I write I don't care about anything else as long as I get it done. I didn't write a paragraph and count all the words. I just wrote the paper and didn't think anything about a word count. I still didn't get down to that 500 word total. I think I still had about 550 to 600 words in that essay. I think I made an A on that paper.

Wow, cutting down 500 words is really something. It's easier to extend an essay than to cut one down.
