They used to have an MTV channel devoted to hard rock videos but then they changed it to hip-hop and now it's pop music.

I like the band okay, but I agree....MTV has sooo overplayed their video. I think MTV should alternate old stuff and new stuff when they play videos instead of playing the same videos 20 times a day and murdering them!

Good Charlotte is an "adequete" band... but MTV killed their reputation.

They went as far as to become MTV/TRL wh0res just to gain more fans, and sales. All of you have to stop blaming MTV because NO ONE forced them to be on TRL, etc. They did it voluntarly in order to reach mainstream success.

Just want to reply again so I'm bumping it up. I felt like discussing how annoying they are.

They think they're punk or something, going on TRL more then 20 times is sooooooo HARDCORE! But let's not get into the punk thing, how about the lyrics... lol. Good Charlotte, Blink 182, and Simple Plan all do the same thing they talk about high school as if they are still attending it, they are grown adults singing about being kids and wanting to die because their lives are so hard. Ya know being a young teen and troubled, mom and dad not letting you have dessert after dinner so you go up and slit your wrists. lol. Mom and daddy not understanding how you feel, the "cool" kids beating you up after school. How unoriginal, pathetic. They are obviously targeting this for young kids and being the manufactured pieces of crap they are kids buy into it, they relate to not being "cool" and not having mommy and daddy give you your way. They aim for young teens and want to be mainstream, plastered on MTV. The lyrics don't mean anything though, as long as they are hott right? C'mon you know if Good Charlotte were all fat and ugly yet had the same music you wouldn't give the time of day to them.

I'm not just talking about GC but all the other lame pop punk bands out there.

Lyrics:
"Mom and dad they quite don't understand me, all the kids they laughed as if they planned it" - Blink 182

"I'm just a kid and life is a nightmare, I'm just a kid I know that it's not fair" - Simple Plan (they are grown adults)

"Just bring me things that I don't need. Cuz now it's Christmas and I want everything, I just can't wait." - Simple Plan

"Like the time in school when we got free lunch and the cool kids beat us up" - Good Charlotte

"The time we made the baseball team, they still laughed at us. The time that girl broke up with me cuz I wasn't cool enough." - Good Charlotte

lol thats all.
