Anna, I am trying to get info on my grandparents like their birthdays, birthplaces, etc. so I can do the same thing for them as well. I am so glad that this site is out there. Sometimes it's hard to get to the actual cemeteries where family members are due to miles and this is a nice way to have the comfort of doing something for them. It may not take the place of really being there but it makes me feel like I am doing something in remembrance. My sister passed away last month and I'm adding one for her as well. Then I will e-mail the page to family and they can have a place to go everyday to remember her.

Chicosladyfair, I just added my sister to Find a Grave, and I must admit I feel better doing it. I`m truly sorry about your sister, it does get a little easier, but not that much. I guess time heals all wounds, but this is like a gap.

Anna, you're right. It does leave an empty space. Someone told me one time that you can't fill the hole up with just anything in an attempt to close it. It will never close. But you can make it smaller by pouring in happiness and love. I truly believe that. I also take comfort in knowing that my sister...like Freddie is in a better place. I hope she lets him know how special he is.
