I'm not trying to start something but I love to see how the Avril fans react to topics like this. They say I'm too defensive about Bonnie Raitt but half the posts on sitcomsonline prove I'm not the only defensive fan out there.

yeah. It's ok for them to say GC are posers, and I'm supposed to smile and accept their opinion. if I say avril is a poser, then I get called a stupid whore and people tell me how much they want to kill me.

Ugh I know what you mean. I think the posers get a little crazy when they're caught.

Yea, they try to hide their denial through name calling and anger.

*coughs* At least I TRY to value peoples opinions. I find most peoples comments to be more amusing than anything. I told the girl she wasnt a real fan and she started screaming and threatening me and cursing. I was doubled over laughing. it was the best. And the whole blinkie avril benji punk not punk incest twin thing was hilarious.

I think Joan makes a good point. I think there were some omissions in the "Women In Rock" issue. It's not fair for some of the elder stateswomen in music to be ignored while the newcomers get all the glory.

Long before Avril, Pink and Gwen Stefani, there were the Joan Jetts, Chrissy Hinds and Bonnie Raits...

Avril Pink and Gwen!? Dude, they dont even sing real rock... I hope they mentioned Kittie in that issue. I used to base my style on their bassists clothes.... Then I got over it.

Gwen Stefanis name should not be near those other names.

"Women in Rock" means women with power, nothing to do with genre's.

FYI: Joan Jett never wrote that letter.

I only said it b/c shes in a band with guys, and they were more rock/punk/ska than either of them will ever be. That makes sense too.
