Sorry I didn't do a better job in trying to fix the pic but I'm new at this & no expert LOL! I didn't mean to make folks sad inserting it on the boards. I was getting sad anyway reading all the sad stuff. But glad to read it & know what happened...

Hi Cheryl,
I think you did a wonderful job on the picture. Believe me, I know how long of a process it can be to restore a photo...I dabble in it myself. But Freddie is such a wonderful subject...it truly turns into a labor of love.
Thanks for the input on the fan fic. over at the yahoo club. I have written short stories in the past but this is the first time I dare let anyone read my stuff. It's like letting your first born go out into the world...lol.
Anyway, thanks again for the great work on the pic...it's mucho appreciado.

Thanks for the compliments on the pic. I think I scared some folks with the pic by accident with his bandaid on face type look. That's PB magazine for ya! But you did a great job on the Chico story & left me wwanting more. So did the lady who did the Angel story. I can't ait to read more of that one too!

That would be me--thank you very much! Didn't mean to put down your work fixing the picture, just the original artist's inability to capture the true beauty of Freddie's face, especially his soulful eyes!
He made Freddie look like an old, angry man.

Thanks again for the compliment on the story...rest assured...there will be more.
By the way...I read in the same thread where you posted the pics of some other pictures somewhere...Freddie sleeping or something? Did you post those and if so...where? I would be interested in seeing them...the past few hours have been so extraordinarily sad what with reading Tracy's excerpts from Maria Preutzel's book. How tragic and devastating...it really brings it all home to hear of the pain and suffering that young man went through. I feel so sad...and in some way...I feel lost.

I knew you weren't referring to my trying to fix the picture but was referring to the origional artists rendering of it.

They sure didn't do him justice.

He looks waaay better than that!

chicosladysfair - I think you got it on the button! After reading Tracy's excerpts & seeing that picture. I think I freaked out. (willies) - Don't get me wrong Cheryl, It's just me.
