I agree about those changes. Now I can finally tape them.

But to answer your question, it appears Family Ties is still on, just at 11:00pm.

Family Ties must have been doing poor. It'll still air at 11 p.m., but by April, like my original guess, it might be gone, when Green Acres comes.

Cheers must have also done poorly, it's now only 11:30 p.m., with a marathon each Monday. All in the Family is on twice each weekday, and four times on weekends. I guess Carol Burnett is doinf pretty well, it has the 8 p.m. slot still and two mini-marathons a week. So I'm sure it's doing well. Bonanza and MacGyver are probably doing very well. And The Munsters are back once again. It's strange not having Gunsmoke at noon. That has been its slot since forever.

"The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island" back-to-back on weekends is grand! Now all they need to do is bring back "The Rookies" and "Charlie's Angels" to air back-to-back after LB/FI and my weekends would be Spellingized!

Last minute change again:

Starting February 22, TV Land will be removing Sunday Night in TV Land. It will still air on 2/8 and 2/15 to meet the Black History programming. Whatever airs Mon-Sat from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. will air on Sunday nights starting 2/22.

Sweet. I like this! I really don't like them making really last-minute changes though.

Eastern Times
2PM Bonanza (Mon-Fri, replaces Family Ties);
6PM All in the Family (Sat-Sun, replaces Family Ties)
6:30PM All in the Family (Sat-Sun, replaces Family Ties)
7PM The Munsters (7 days a week, replaces Mon-Fri Family Ties)
I feel your pain, I do. I like Family Ties, but IMO, they did give it a chance. It must have gotten REALLY low ratings compared to the rest to have airings cut so quickly like that. It had some pretty primo spots. I'm just thankful it still airs at 11:00pm. That's better than it not being on at all.

TV is a cutthroat business. The bad part is... FT HAD great prime slots, unlike it's end on N@N. I guess it just doesn't pull ratings.

That's not true. Family Ties aired 9 and 9:30PM on Nick@Nite, then it bombed, so Nick@Nite moved it to 11 and 11:30PM even, which didn't work either. They tried it in other slots as well, before downgrading it to 5AM.

Sorry, I forgot about FT airing in primetime, but that didn't last long because of low ratings as stated. Sorry about that. I just remember it ending up at 5am and you could pretty much tell the ratings weren't good.

Thank You, TV Land!

I applaud the network for making changes to better their line-up. It's great to see The Munsters back (again) as well as to see Cheers or Family Ties loose some of their timeslots. Now if TV Land could only get rid of them for good. Also, I hope that I Love Lucy gets either the 9pm or 11pm evening slot back. Lucy is poorly missed in the evening.

I hope not too. I don't understand this ratings problem. FT did extremely well in the 80s with ratings finishing 2nd only to the Cosby Show... Why aren't people watching now??

I like the mini-marathons idea, I just wish AITF got one of those slots. Overall, a better change.

Great, and if Viacom dosen't pick up the WB package, who will?

Well, glad I taped a bunch of PS and HOTC. At least THAT way, it won't be 2009 before I see PS again, and 2029 in HOTC's case...

Why is TV Land not willing to schill for the WB or Screen Gems package? If they would actually take the effort to place some of them on the schedule, keep them there, and promote them halfway decently, then, is it not just possible they might, gasp, return on the investment?

Heck, if I had a few million dollars lying around, and if no network was interested, I'd get the packages myself. One day....
