Sweetheart Swindler. Erich Kestler. The crazy guy who met a woman in a bar and she turned up dead after he brutally beat her to death.
Maybe to really capture the essence of what Unsolved Mysteries was in its prime, watch “Debbie” Shot in the face. Todd McAffee? The first case I can remember that scared the hell out of me was Gretchen Burford. And the girl murdered in Florida by “Ricardito.” John Burns? If you don’t want anything too murderous or depressing, Steve Ross, Sharron Steve, Duncan Gilmore. How about the Priest murders? I think the same episode has both Gus Hoffman AND Matthew Chase. That would be depressing though. But again, what’s unsolved mysteries if not intriguing, mysterious, sad, and like an abyss staring back at you after too many binges? |
