I think this is one of the funniest episodes. Although its a shame that Miranda is most often the recipient of these kinds of laughs. In response to the original question, this wasn't a stupid scene. It wouldn't surprise me if she could actually fart like this in real life, at least while she was pregnant. After all, aren't all women usually very gassy when pregnant, especially toward the end when they get pretty big and tend to eat a lot of junk food?

I heard about this episode from a friend who saw an interview. I wish I could remember where. I think it was an interview with the cast on some talk show. Anyway, Cynthia Nixon said that at least one of those farts was recorded from her. Apparently, she thought it would make a funny conversation starter. Isn't that hilarious?
