What I love so much about Wynonna is her ability to crack a really good joke even if it isn't her true intention. I love her honesty and how she doesn't candy coat anything.

Every now and then threads come up on these forums about which celebrity death hit you the hardest. Add Naomi Judd to mine.

This...this is still unreal to me. I've been listening to The Judds the majority of my life. Their "Why Not Me" album and Wynonna's first solo album were the first two CD's I ever owned, over 30 years ago. I've been lucky enough to see Wy solo a few times, but I never saw The Judds, and was really looking forward to it this Fall.

It's devastating to hear that Naomi was never able to fully conquer her demons, but I do hope she is finally at peace. I hope more than anything for the hearts of Wynonna and Ashley (and the rest of the family) to heal.

RIP. I’m watching an interview with Naomi on YouTube where she talks about her new book (new at the time) that discusses depression, and the reasons why she decided to tackle the topic of depression in her book. During the interview, she brings up being molested by her uncle when she was only three, explaining all the ways she felt in his presence. Very unsettling and sad.

^^^ The only question now is will we ever know more about what really happened? I understand completely why privacy is wanted whenever it is wanted, but at the end of the day, remaining quiet will only add more power to a perpetrator's arsenal. In other words, if sharing is what helps other people continue on with their lives, share.

Did they have the memorial service for Naomi Judd yet? I hadn't heard anything about it or did they postpone it until further notice?
