Wow! that is a very large island! I think I would start walking just to keep warm!(Funny , I don't think of a desert island being that cold!) Are there any deserted islands above the Equator?

Yeah, I would walk... as Chris said, good exercise. (I know that's probably spelled wrong. I could never spell it right.)

For all you walkers.. it's below 0 out there! lol. And you're not gonna walk 50 miles straight... you'll need shelter too, LOL.. and fire and food!

And remember, you WERE on a plane... people have avaition maps and if a plane doesn't arrive on the estimated time, they're bound to report it... there's a better chance of suvivng and getting rescued if you just stay put and wait rather than walking away. Anyhow, anyone change their minds? lol

Because if I did it, then they could make it. Face it. I'm a natural leader and you'd be t he only one left on the island. We'll all be partying at 100 pounds less while you stuff yourself with canned vegetables and freeze to death. If I were you, I'd walk.

Please note that you've just been in a plane crash and you're by yourself. The temperature is also below 0.
This situation reminds me of the book The Lord of the Flies.

If the plane crash was near a body of water and it was near or under 0 degrees than that would make the water practically ice.
Therefore, I would choose neither of options up above but rather ice skate my way out of there.
