I think the Sweathogs made fun of Judy cause they knew she wouldn't he with any of them! She was smarter than them and a good girl ! So they probably did find her cute but pretended they didn't to keep their pride ! If they flirted with her she probably would turn them down, want a boy who was more her intellectual equal and a good boy she could take home to meet her parents !

she asked Freddie, Epstein and Arnold to the Sadie Hawkins dance and they acted like she was a mud duck and ran away

Yep!! She tutored him and they bickered and insulted each other , but than they ended up falling for each other ! But the other sweathogs made fun ! And it ended up not working out cause they were from two different worlds!

They probably figured they couldn't " get lucky " with her after the dance like they could with a girl like Hotsie Totsie !

Judy has such a repulsive voice, I wouldn't want to be with someone who sounded like her. Debralee Scott was very attractive, it is too bad she left for Mary Hartman and couldn't continue with her Kotter role.

Oh yeah!! She was Cathy Shumway , Mary's Sister on Mary Hartman! And she also dated the love of my life , Michael Lembeck / Clete Meizenheimer on there too , along with lots of other men on Mary Hartman , Debralee Scott always seems to play a bad girl!

Judy's voice was very put on / exaggerated for her role as a Brooklyn girl on Welcome back Kotter ! Although her family / The Lembeck's were originally from Brooklyn ! Her and her Brother ( my crush Michael Lembeck ) pretty much grew up in LA ! I saw Helaine ( Judy ) on Match game and her voice wasn't nearly as Brooklyn - ish as Judy's !!

I saw her on Match Game and her voice was more normal. She was very pretty and still is.
