I know what you mean about What’s My Line. It was perfectly acceptable for the males in the audience to make cat calls when a shapely young woman walked and signed it. I see them smile so they might have thought it was a compliment. I guess if they said they didn’t like it, it would be unusual. It was a different time back then and women just went along with the flow. Match Game of the 70’s was racist, sexist and made fun of non heterosexuals.
Scoey Mitchell was treated very badly. It’s never edited out either. He was a good sport. |

That was probably the only marginally bad thing about the old WML. Everyone involved with the game was normally very polite and refined. Nothing like today's TV, where rudeness and vulgarity are the norm.
