I used to think it was just a re-colored version of the white beaded gown, but it is indeed its own dress. For one thing, the white one had a slit in the front, whilst the orange had one in the back. Also, the white is beaded throughout, whilst with the orange, the beads start to trail off around the waist, replaced by sequins.

Perhaps the most famous scene with Ginger/Tina wearing this gorgeous gown was the aborted attempt to seduce Lord Beasley. That was one lucky bee!

Have also noticed that when looking at the 1960s sitcoms section of this
site, the GI section seems to have the highest number of people viewing at
any one time.
