The opening of the animated show "The Critic" shows the WTC buildings. I agree they should leave the WTC shots in past shows. But, since the WTC buildings no longer exist, leaving them in would not represent a "current" picture of the city...that's why I think those images are being edited out.

though not a sitcom but for some reason many of the pay movie channels have been showing the 1975 movie "Dog Day Afternoon" a lot lately. The movie features a scene of WTC.

Also not a sitcom the 1976 remake of "King Kong" features the World Trade Center prominently in its climax; the hairy behemoth ascends one of the towers instead of the Empire State Building.

Archie Bunkers Place has WTC in the closing credits on all 97 episodes.
i NEVER REALIZED until after the attack on the U.S. when i was watching my tapes did i pick up on this. Its back in the skyline in the background ,not close up.

I looked at AITF close credits but didnt see it on there.

Do you realize you’re responding to a 23-year-old post and that the information therein may no longer be accurate? To put it in perspective, the post you’re quoting is older than Billie Eilish, who is a full-grown adult and a two-time Academy Award winner

The powers that be may have gotten overzealous in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 airbrushing the Twin Towers out of things, but that was 23 years ago and it was only a few months — a year, tops — and then we started seeing it again in our reruns. All pre-9/11 episodes of SVU on Peacock include the Twin Towers, as does Home Alone 2 on Disney+ and other streaming services.

I guess I’m honestly confused as to why you felt it was necessary to resurrect a thread that’s been dead longer than most people graduating college this month have been alive.
