Well, I just took a quick look at the site. Do I really want to spend more time there? Maybe... for a laugh.
However, something that makes me wonder is this: She goes on and on about all these shows. USA-produced shows. She calls herself an American; says she grew up with these shows. But she doesn't spell certain words in the same way as would someone who grew up here. Sure, maybe her parents are British or Canadian, but I would think that someone who grew up in the US would spell these words with an "American" flavor (or should that be: flavour?). To quote her site, first page: "Looking back at the majority of programmes that I watched, there was very little of real quality." I spell it: programs "I didn't want television running my life, and I resented it when friends would have to miss out on events simply because their favourite shows were on." I spell it: favorite "It has entertained me, and it is a common community that I share with millions of other Americans, when I am so inclined to participate." Did she really share it with us? I wonder. Dunno. Maybe there's nothing to my suspicions. But, then again...

I'm not sure Marlena believes anyone can clear her, but if anyone can do it, it will be John." ~ Deidre Hall "Yes, it does look really bleak right now (for John and Marlena). I know that, but as in any good fairy tale there's a lot of pain to get through in order to reach the end of a good or happy ending." ~ Ken Corday Smile God Loves You![]() www.geocities.com/hazel_n_blue_4ever/index Last edited by I Dream of Jeannie; 06-18-2002 at 05:38 PM. |
