Yep. Getting the unedited episodes for the NBC seasons was a special deal between Time-Life and the Joe Hamilton estate for the DVDs, completely unrelated to the broadcast rights to the edited episodes which Warner owns.

Vicki Lawrence did an interview on WGN-TV in Chicago recently and said that when me Me-TV begins airing the show starting in January, they will be running two episodes nightly. Wonder which show(s) will be getting bumped?

Probably the back to back Hogan's Heroes. So then it would be back to back Mama's Family leading into Carol Burnett & Friends.

The show was in a legal dispute which kept it from the airwaves for years. Now the legal issues are cleared up so now it is free to be aired again.

As for watching it on TV it will be great to see it again because the DVD releases have cut out several music numbers either cutting out the scene completely or using alternative music so I am hoping these episodes will at least have those music numbers.

When it comes to "Mama's Family", I consider myself a HUGE fan. I've seen every episode MANY times and love all of them. Even though I can't get this channel, I'm glad it's going to finally be aired again in syndication. "MF" is my all-time favorite sitcom!

I like the show too; there's something especially endearing about that old battleax and her lovable sidekick Iola. And of course Vinton and"Skeeter". I hope Antenna TV decides to air it one day.

Me-TV will be running special holiday episodes of various TV shows starting the week of November 16th at 9-10 PM nightly, including a number of shows that it doesn't currently air. On Christmas Day, it will air "Mama's Family's" first Christmas episode "Santa Mama" at 9:30 PM.

Antenna TV can't air it as long as Me-TV has the rights to it. It's a legal thing.

Oddly enough, I'm hoping for the syndicated versions. Then we'd hear all the music that the DVD's cut out. I don't want to see Mama become mayor and not hear Harper Days Are Here Again!
