I know. That was so sweet! Than it turned out they couldn't adopt little Jesse after all! As messed up as it was for Julie to leave her baby, I think she had it in mind that Barbara would raise little Annie as her own, and she would be in good hands!

It's sad how her roll on the show was drastically reduced. She would usually only have a few lines per ep.
In the earlier seasons she was the focus of a lot episodes that weren't about Ann's relationship troubles.
Julie was too young to carry an entire show and there wasn't much of an extended cast.
