Like KittFlynn, I too have to begin by saying that this list is by no means exhaustive and there are probably many songs which I should mention that I've simply forgotten about at the moment -
'Stolen Car' - Beth Orton 'Stand By Me' - Ben E. King (John Lennon's version was nowhere near as good) 'Don't Cry' - Guns n Roses 'Country Feedback' - REM 'Without You I'm Nothing' - Placebo (always reminds me of a special person who is no longer in my life.....) 'I Love You Anyways' - Travis 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' - Joy Division 'Nothing Else Matters' - Metallica 'The Bitterest Pill' - The Jam 'Hazard' - Richard Marx 'Drive' - The Cars 'Afraid To Shoot Strangers' - Iron Maiden Cokies mentioned 'Motorcycle Emptiness' by The Manics. I went looking through my entire collection of early Manics stuff (back in the days when they were actually a decent band) because I felt like they should have at least one song on my list. Unfortunetly I couldn't narrow it down to just one so..... |

"Tears In Heaven" by Eric Clapton
"In This Life" by Bette Midler (Collin Raye also does a version of this song, but I prefer Bette's version. It gives me the chills) "Against All Odds" by Phil Collins "Lullaby" by Billy Joel "The Car" by Jeff Carson |

Plata: You're a Selena fan right? you seem like it. I love Selena. and you're right. "La Bamba" was originally done by Ritchie Valens in like 1958 or somewhere around there. Hey Karli...I think we have another Selena fan here...YAY |

Many, many, many! Many songs are magical! Far too many to single out, but...
The first to enter my mind: The Impossible Dream Second: Tears In Heaven (Clapton) |
