BTW, Carol was HOT back in the day! Perfect everything on that girl!
Carol was HOT and NORMAL. Gloria was CUTE and SLOW

Seasons two through four have aired uncut albeit time-compressed (still no footage missing except a few end credits) on a number of occasions on canadian Deja View.

Unfortunatly seasons 5 and 6 have random edits on Deja View, but different cuts than Tv Land and US syndication.

I'm patient for now to wait for uncut eps since the entire series is on youtube and airing on Antenna TV. I only crave a DVD release if the show is not being shown anywhere so for now I;m content.

Not to me. While Edith and Archie were clearly the heart of AITF, Mike and Gloria made decent contributions. Maude was a little bit funnier than AITF but AITF is still by far the better show. I think it tackled controversial issues more thoroughly than Maude, and with AMAZING sensitivity.

Maude is definitely a very fine show, and I enjoy it very much, but AITF is a MASTERPIECE.

I enjoyed Maude's debut on AITF she could match Archie insult for insult. Loved the end Archie yells "Cream of wheat and cheese"? WRONG AGAIN Maude. He runs upstairs for the bathroom.

I just think Maude had more fun eps than all in the Family. And I would have never known that if it wasn't for Antenna TV

I;m going to do the count later

I thought you didn't like this show. About a year ago or so, you seemed to criticize it a lot.

I know but when Antenna TV put it on during primetime I had a chance to see that it was a fun show aside from a couple of serious eps

I've always loved Maude! I would buy the series if available...maybe Time Life will release the complete series. I think I read somewhere that the muisc is what's holding up the releases because Maude and Walter were always going around the house singing something. Time Life just recently got the rights to do China Beach so there is a possibility.

DVD released don't even matter at this point because of the 2 reasons below

1.The series is complete on youtube
2. The show airs every night on Antenna TV

Antenna TV slices up the episodes, though. And who likes sitting through commercials?

But the show is not dead which is a good thing. There are some shows from the same era that are not on youtube, digital TV, cable TV or DVD which are

ALice
One Day at a Time
Welcome Back Kottter

All three of those shows right now are dead in syndication and missing on DVD but that's not the case for Maude

And there aren't even any bootlegs of Alice or Welcome Back Kotter available, and the bootlegs of One Day at a Time are only complete through Season 4 and have a small handful of episodes from Seasons 5-9.

Opinions can change. I never did like Roseanne a long time ago but a few Years later I was watching it again and got into it. Part of it may have been that the first episode I ever saw was a episode form Later season then when I saw it again it was from the early seasons.
