I think it was because the US was involved in another war in Asia in the 1960's that the very bad North Korean commies tried to hit on poor South Korea again!

The 1949 World Almanac referred to "northern Korea" as a Soviet puppet state. How true! Also, that the UN didn't recognize the state of North Korea!
