When I was younger, Full House was my favorite. Now, though, Boy Meets World is my favorite. I like(d) Sabrina a lot, too.

Boy Meets World, pretty easily. Most of the others were pretty terrible but BMW is one of the few shows geared at young audiences that was actually well-written and well-made overall.

As for the decline...I think of Seasons 2-4 as the show's peak years. They did a good job then of balancing the stories about adolescence/coming of age with humor. The show took a major leap towards soapiness in Season 5 and meh...not a fan of that. But the last three seasons still have plenty of great moments.

I think all of these shows. For the most part we're very well written.Especally Full house,Step By step,Boy meets world,Perfect strangers and Family Matters.Except after the emergence of Stephan.

Everybody likes different things. But i loved these shows. And i think they we're all very well done.

Boy Meets World was definitely the most well written and "mature" show on TGIF, ever.

I voted for Family Matters. It lasted an incredibly long time, and really meant a lot to me growing up. I watched every episode over and over again. I haven't watched any of these shows all the way through since 2003/2004. I'm sure it will be great to eventually go back and relive it all. Starting with Boy Meets World.

I would say they we're all equally well written and mature. They had Elements for kids, teens, and adults. But you are certanaly intitled to your opionions as am i.

I enjoyed Family Matters until it turned into a live-action cartoon, with Urkel the Idiot and Carl, his long-suffering sidekick. Other shows that followed this same unfortunate path were Too Close for Comfort (Monroe & Henry) and Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Screech & Mr. Belding).

Completley agree with you about Family Matters. It did become a joke at the end.But i loved it for most of the series. The other shows we're great all the way through. And i completley disagree with the statement. That they wern't well written or wern't mature. Why because they didn't cus or do imoral things on the shows. There is plenty of that garbage in real life.We don't need it on tv.

I'm not so sure, Just the Ten of Us had a level of maturity to it's writing as well, especially considering it often had pretty racy jokes pertaining to Wendy and her conquest of guys.

I think BMW, Step By Step, Family Matters and Full House equally covered mature subject matters with the same kind of ease and sensitivity. Family Matters I recall having several episodes that were extremely boundary pushing for it's time, including an episode that covered racism and the use of the n word, an episode about gun violence (they stole Maxine's shoes!), dieting (Laura took diet pills) and racial profiling... I don't really recall BMW ever covering subject matters that seriously; they never did a "special drug episode"...

Although not airing on ABC or TGIF I'd say that NBC's "Blossom" however was the most "mature" teen comedy of it's era.

I remember that episode of Family Matters.Wasn't it Laura who got called the n word? Then she came home crying.I remember a real touching moment with Laura and her Grandma.Talking about racism.Of course the whole family was there and they all shared. That was a great episode and one of the earlier episodes.

Full house even had a couple episodes about drinking.Kimmy Gibbler got drunk. And those guys that .Steph almost went in the car with. They we're drunk and they wrecked with Gina in the car.All of these shows covered various areas of real life. And always taught valuable lessons.

No. I believe it aired on either Monday or Tuesday nights. It was on after Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
