I don't remember that happening but you might be right. I stopped following TV Land religiously in the mid 2000s so I don't know for sure... but I had thought it was always on.

Sanford and Son still "sticky glued" on the schedule and the Jeffersons still airing early in the morning and once in the evening

I can't remember a time that it didn't air either in the morning or afternoon, but I didn't have cable for a while around 2007-2009 so I might have missed it. I know the show has a very loyal audience, young and old. However, it is a little silly seeing "Laugh More" at the bottom while Gunsmoke is airing, so I understand why they would let it go. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this make LITB the longest running show currently airing? It's been on since 1998, although it has had several hiatuses. I don't think they've ever lost the rights, though.
I suspect they will let more contracts of older shows expire as they move towards more recent shows.

sanford and son is a close second since it has been on TV Land since 2000

Didn't Sanford and Son first come in 1997 and then leave after a few years, but returning in 2003/2004?

Anyone know when Bonanza expires? I thought Gunsmoke and Bonanza had the same expiration date...

I'm a huge Bonanza fan and hope it stays on the schedule, but 5 hours is a little crazy

I didn't get TV Land until I moved in my apt in 2000 and remember sanford and son was on the channel then. so it could have been on before 2000

I'm thinking Sanford and Son aired from 1998-2000 then February 2003-present.

I remember now, TV Land added S&S in January of 2003 and had a marathon. And it's been on TV Land ever since.

What a surprise, TV Land getting better while N@N getting worst-lol

Watching it on Saturday will be optional since it's already going to be on at night and on ANtenna TV. But it's better than Andy Griffith
