He guest starred in a 1995 ep of Martin-(season 4) and played the role of a guy Martin helped put away in prison by the name of Mad Dog |

There was also a tall skinny dude who wore a big brown Afro, quite similar to the one who martial artist Jim Kelly wore in Enter the Dragon and Black Belt Jones, and made a guest appearance in a two-part ep of Good Times, playing the same character name. He played a gangbanger / thug / gang leader who bullied and threatened JJ into joining his gang of thugs and shoots him.

That's where the idea of the name came from since Martin Lawrence was a fan of Good Times |

Small world. Will wonders never cease! Martin would have the gang over in his apt on the show, and you could hear the theme music from Good Times playing in the background on the TV they were watching. Guees that he really was a fan of the show.

The name of the ep was High Noon. Just saw it for the first time that I can remember. They didn't have Gary in it until about the last 10 minutes of the show!!

He was actually in two episodes of Buck Rogers In The 25th Century! I remember watching them both. Because I was a big fan of Diff'rent Strokes and Buck Rogers.

Yeah, I, also, remember seeing him in those two episodes of that show. Didn't he become friends with the little robot? I liked the little robot. He used to make that funny noise that after he talks that goes; "Bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-beep".

Snoop Dogg and BizMarkie were also guests in the same ep of the Tracy Morgan Show. Snoop Dogg played the sponsor / rapper at a "live" show for a charity to benefit sick kids. Actor, Bobb'e J. Thompson was a little pint-size ham on the stage, stealing the show. He wouldn't get off the stage when Tracy Morgan tried to get him to come off. It was then that I noticed he would also become a rapper! Haven't seen him rap much, but he IS a very good actor!! Gary also made a guest appearance on the Jenny Jones Show. |

Gary, Todd, Conrad Bain & John Ritter also hosted a Sitcom Online TV awards special on TVLand several years back. I didn't see it though. Missed it!

I also remember Gary showing up on the Reality show(the new sitcom these days), The Surreal Life where has been celebrities live in a house together. Gary made a guest appearance, as a manager of a restaurant the because the celebs were assigned to work in. Vanilla Ice was apart of this cast, and he taunted Gary repeatedly. Gary was trying to be professional as their manager, but Vanilla just kept taunting him to say "What you talkin'?" He just wouldn't let up, so he picks Gary up like he's going to throw him in one of the pots. Gary got so mad he just left the restaurant. I also recall Todd Bridges being apart of the cast as well acting like he couldn't understand why Gary was so upset.
I know it wasn't a old school sitcom, but it was a guest spot memory that stuck out. |
