Hollywood won't touch it with a million foot pole. I'm sure if a movie ever gets made, it'll be along the lines of Stalag 17. P.S. Say what you will about poles and 'PC Brigades' but do take note that for whatever it's worth the "Hogan's Heroes" series was extremely patriotic.

It's evolved in the sense that the show would never be made today because it's in poor taste.
As for the show being patriotic....the show's premise doesn't fit my idea of patriotism, but to each his own I guess.

I see that. We never looked like the idiots (even Carter's screw ups weren't that bad), the enemy always did.
