I think Weigel was not expecting such a tepid reaction to the national METV network. I remember when THIS started, it spread like wildfire across the country. So far, MeTV has been a total dud, which is really unfortunate, because it's probably why they haven't said anything about the supposed Me-Too that is supposed to come to Milwaukee. Oh well.

BTW, I noticed that RTV has removed their Facebook page. I guess they were tired of it turning into a complaint forum.

Maybe they are waiting for RTV to fold. When that happens, maybe they will promote it aggressively to try to get those affiliates.

Add WOLO/Columbia, SC to the list also.

Maybe things aren't as bad for MeTV.....Greenville/Spartanburg needs to be next!

How far is Greenville/Spartanburg from Charlotte? Looks like you could receive channel 18 but you're probably further away than I'm thinking.

I'm about 100 miles SW. I'm south of Greenville/Spartanburg a little. I can't get it with a set top antenna but I know people in Greenville with rooftop antennas that get Charlotte stations.

I noticed last week that they have returned Stooge-a-palooza to the lineup 8-10 AM sunday. According to the "national" schedule, that time slot is supposed to be E/I programming, so maybe this is only in Milwaukee. I wonder how this works, given that AntennaTV also airs the Three Stooges, and I thought only one network would have the rights to air a given show.

Sadly, MeTV has started cutting shows that were being shown uncut just a few weeks ago. Both Cannon and Stagecoach West had been running over 50 minutes. Now they are running under 46 minutes. Very disappointing.

MeTV just signed on with a bunch of station groups to get 45% clearance across the country:
Quote:
Weigel Broadcasting, the Chicago-based television group, and partner and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM) announced today that Me-TV, the new digital classic television network, has surpassed the 45% clearance mark with the finalization of deals with 14 leading station groups nationwide.

The station groups clearing the Me-TV Network include: Hearst Television, Raycom Media, Cox Television, Newport Television, Media General, Capitol Broadcasting, Bahakel Communications, Gray Television, Quincy Newspapers, New Age Media, MPS Media, London Broadcasting Group, Bonten Media Group, and Titan Broadcast Management.

I wonder what the stations are. I have a Hearst and 2 MG channels in my market, so I'll probably get it!
