So anywayz......I was running through the hall, and I tripped over Ken & Barbie's dream car or something like that, and there was this bolt sticking out of my sister's playpen and it jammed into my head! So...I had this hole...on the side of my head. Crying, Screaming, Pain, Blood, Big Mess....I had to get stitches and wear a bandage around my head for weeks. I never got to wear that outfit again, and I don't think I ever fully recovered..... [/

Like somebody said earlier, the hospital was a second home for me. I was pretty active growing up and had a bunch of accidents. As for the worst, I'd have to say it was a tie between 2.

The first one happened back in November 1990. I was in a basketball game at school. We were playing against a BIG rival of ours. Anyway, the girl that was guarding me was NOT very good, I could get by her pretty easy. So they started to double-team me and I could still get by them. So they triple-teamed me, I'm not stupid there are 2 people open so I passed the ball. This chick (number 24 her name was Jennifer) started to get really mad so she started to play dirty by kicking me when the ref was not looking. Mad me fall one time, the ref still didn't call the foul. My coach finally called a time out to see if I was okay. I told him it didn't hurt and that I could go on. This was in the first quarter. This went on the entire game (Yes I did get a couple of shots in myself) After the game my family went out to dinner. We went to a mexican place in town, real good food there. Anyway, by the time dinner was over I started complaining that my knee hurt. By the time we got home my knee was pretty swollen. My mom took me to the doctor the next day. They sent me to get an MRI and then sent me to a Civilian doctor because all of the military surgeons were involved in Operation Desert Storm. So I go see this doctor and he asks me some questions and feels my knee. He tells me that I have torn some cartlidge in my knee and that it was going to require surgery. He pulls out the MRI and takes a look at that then. He turns to me and tells me I have bigger problems then the cartlidge because my kneecap is out of place.

To say the least, that was my last organized game that I played in basketball. I still miss it.

The other injury that ranks up there as the worst happened September 1992. This will probably make you laugh on how I messed up my ankle, but here goes. I was wearing a pair of house shoes that my grandmother had knitted for me (I have never worn anything like that again) I was turning the corner in my house to go to my room when I stubbed my toe on the carpet (the hall I was in was tile and the hall I was going to had carpet, you know how it has that little bumb where carpet starts, I stubbed my toe on that) Anyway, when I did that my foot turned out but my foot kept going forward. I dislocated my ankle and broke it in several places. I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance (I don't remember much about the ride because I was starting to go into shock) The doctor was getting ready to leave for the night when he heard that I was coming in so he stayed behind because he knew that he would be the one to operate on me because he was the specialist. His surgical team was still there so they stayed as well. I get to the ER and the first thing they had to do was pop my ankle back in place. They gave me a shot of demoral and morphine. I remember that I screamed because it hurt, but I don't remember it hurting, those shots worked wonders Anyway, they stabilized my leg and sent me to a room for the night. I was going to be the very first surgery the next day. I ended up with 4 screws in my ankle and a couple of nasty scars on each side of my foot. I was on crutches for a LONG time with that one.

Well when I was 2 years old. My mom was making my baby crib for me and I keep jumping on my parents bed. My mom sat me down and told me I was going to get hurt. She went back to making my bed and I went back to jumping and I must have tripped over something before my mom could get to me I had fell and busted my head wide open. I had to have 7 stiches.
I have had a ankle sprain. We was doing these drills and I went in for a layup when my ankle turned completely over. I was hurt bad. My mom and dad take me to the doctors office so they get an x-ray. They put me in a wheelchair I hit my ankle on the side of the wheelchair and then I thought for sure it was broke. It only turned out to be a severe ankle sprain.
I was also in the hospital every fall and spring until I was 5 years. Please don't ask why either.

It was back in '89, I was 3 and an idiot, my dad just finished using the B.Q. pit and I was playing outside with my older brother. My mom was also out there but she had to go to the back of our backyard to turn on the hose so she can water the grass. Me, like an idiot, ran and put both of my hands on the HOT B.Q. pit. I was completly burned and VERY red, I still remember my screaming and crying. When I got to the hospital they put some icky stuff on me and wrapped up my hands. But there was also one more bad thing, this was the early '90's I was messing around on my bike going really fast down-hill when I went flying right into the street, I was wearing my helmet but of course had to go to the hospital. I think when I burned my hands was way worse, OH the pain!

My worst injury was when I was four. My dad and I were riding bikes up the street towards our house, and I turned around to tell him somthing. When I turned, I turned my handlebars which got me off balance, and I flipped over the handlebars onto the pavement head first. My daddy jumped off of his bike and carried me up our front lawn into my house. I had smashed my face up and my teeth went into my lip. I had to get stiches on the inside of my lip and had a fat lip and tons of scratches and bumps on my face.

Dat reminds me...one time this girl (my worst enemy) was at softball practice and the ball hit her in the mouth so hard it knocked one of her teeth out and it went totally into her lip.

Besides electrocuting myself when I was three by sticking a key into a socket, and streching a ligament in my ankle once, my worst most gruesome injury happened during the summer of 97'.
Anyway, I was way into skateboarding at the time. I was fearless, and would do anything that the boys would do. I felt equal to them, and felt like I could do anything they could do.
So one would expect my worst skating injury would be ollieing a flight of stairs or something. Wrong.

I was up at my grandmothers house, and I was rolling around in her driveway. There was gravel on each side of the driveway, and there were little rocks scattered about.
So, anyway, I was pushing myself up the driveway, when I got tangled up trying to do a fakie ollie(basically taking my pushing foot towards the front of the board). I twisted a little too fast and my face when downward first.
I was basically airbourne with my face being the thing that hit first.
You know that feeling that you get when you hit your nose really hard? It's almost like an odor. A taste. Multiply that by ten.
Initially, I didn't cry. It was more like shock. I felt my forehead, and it was like an egg was protruding from it.
There were pieces of gravel implanted into my skin, and blood gushing from above my lip.

I ran inside, trying to avoid anyone, and went into the bathroom.
What a lovely sight that was.
My forehead was basically two levels, while both of my eyes were black. Nice fat lip too.
There were cuts above my lip( that I still have scars from), and my chin was all scratched up. Thankfully, all my teeth were intact.
My nose wasn't broken, but I had that constant feeling I was talking about before.
I only started crying when I sat down for dinner and my grandmother asked me why I was looking down at the floor. She soon caught on.

Craziness. LOL I feel like I'm on the Truman Show or something. Hehe. Well, I drove by your street and your school yesterday. There, now I know exactly where they are. I know, I know. I don't know your life story like you know mine, but it's something.
