I grew up on comic books and science fiction, so Alan's explanation is very plausible. Plus, I just saw Thor and am riding a post-comic book movie high.

And Monika, you inspired a great idea for a TV-movie: Revenge Of The Exiled Sitcom Characters.

Actually, I remember 2 Happy Days Reunion shows, the more recent one, (I think the 30th Anniversary) included both Chucks, and then I remember another reunion, a smaller group, which ended with Tom Bosley, all of a sudden, shouting "CHUCK...Where's Chuck???", as he looked around.

That was the 1992 reunion show. It was good, but it was so painfully obvious that it was scripted. Well, it felt scripted to me.

I wish they would just let the actors say what they really want to say in these shows when they're supposed to be offering spontaneous personal remembrances.

Susan Olsen was rightfully upset when they did a Brady Bunch reunion where they all sat around and were to offer remembrances of their time on show and she was handed a script for her responses. She thought they were just going to be questioned and share off-the-cuff responses with Jenny McCarthy, the hostess.

I don't know why, but I remember when Richie and Ralph came back for the last episode (where Joanie and Chachi got married), I was half-expecting Chuck to show up also. But when Howard mentioned something about "watching our two children grow up" I realized Happy Days ended in a reality where Chuck never existed.

Only Howie knows -- and he aint talkin!

I like the Mork time warp explanation. Having grown up on sci-fi and fantasy, that's the most probable explanation for why they so conveniently forgot him at the beginning of season three.
