I remember watching Bowling for Dollars on Baltimore's channel 11. Also the Maryland Lottery as I recall had their own tv game show too that was cool.

Wonder if anybody remembers a show from 1980 called Lets go to the Races. It was hosted by Alan Hamel ( Suzanne Sommers' husband). It was strictly a home viewers gameshow.

You had to go to a Grand Union supermarket ( though I think it involved other chains around the country ) pick up game card that featured the numbers.

Tune into the show where they featrue 4 or 5 different horse races and if number thats on the horse crosses the finish line first and the number on your card matches- YOU win cash.

Just like going to the real thing, though Lets go the Races didnt last long. Gone by 1981.

That's a tough one because when I was growing up (which will give you an idea of my age, mid-forties), Andy Griffith, the Honeymooners, Lucille Ball and shows like that were favorites so I honestly don't remember watching any game shows at that age.

Mainly the NBC games of the '60s and '70s such as Concentration, Jeopardy!, Hollywood Squares, You Don't Say!, and the original Match Game.

There were a couple NBC game shows that I watched in the 60s. One was Snap Judgement hosted by Ed McMahon which aired from 1967-1968. The other was PDQ hosted by Dennis James which aired from 1965-1969.

Didn't watch Sale of the Century but most listed here, I saw either in the original years or in reruns later on. Another show I recall hosted by Nick Clooney, (George's dad) was the Money Maze. in mid 1970's Celebrity Sweepstakes hosted by Jim McKrell. Let's Make a deal with Monte Hall in the mid 1960;s. It is nice to go back and remember.
