Do You Write in Cursive or Print?

I have the same problem Janice. Ever since computers my penmanship has deteriorated. And it was no great shakes to start with.

I use print while at work but any other time I will write in cursive.

I mainly print unless I am signing my name. I have noticed that my handwriting has gotten a lot worse over the years. I don't know if it's a medical condition or what, but I have found that I have trouble writing occasionally. Kind of weird but I guess I can live with it.

My handwriting is really bad if I do cursive so I usually don't. Although my printing's not much better, but it's at least legible. Maybe my being left handed has something to do with my horrible penmenship.

I always print, always have too. I think the seattle public school system doesn't teach or enforce cursive cos whenever kids would transfer from other districts, cities, states ect. they always wrote in cursive and were always shocked that nobody else in the class did.

Both. In fact, I've been trying to improve my cursive and printing in the past few years. Too many people were telling me, "I can't understand what you wrote on that note" or "Your memo was hard to read".

To answer the question, I do both... I was taught cursive in school, but my cursive looks like a third-grader's cursive, so I don't bother.

I'm severely hearing impaired, which means I do a lot of writing when out in public... So I can write really quickly and decipher almost all handwriting. I'm not quite that good at deciphering doctors' notes... YET. But yeah.

Same here. I like to think I have very good penmenship, and it especially looks good when I print.

I figure cursive is still going to have to be out there. Thinks of all the times that a person uses cursive - all the papers that read "Sign your name". I don't know about anybody else, but I get asked to "Sign my name" quite a few times.

If I'm filling out forms and certain things at work I write in print. For other things outside of work I write in cursive.

Mostly print. The only time I write cursive is when I am signing my name. I taught myself how to write cursive before I learned it in school, and the ironic thing is some letters I had forgotten to write in cursive. Guess thats what they mean when they say use it or lose it.
