When I was 11 or 12 my aunt told me first, and then later my mom told me again but she was more detailed. After all of that, In 7th grade we had sex ed

From a book when I was 8 years old. Forgot the name of the title, but it was a sex ed book aimed at preteens (I was already reading high school books in third grade). Then I had sex ed in sixth grade.

I think I was in third grade when my mom went to see the OBGYN for a refill on her birth control. I made a bad mistake and asked what the pills were for. She told me more than I ever wanted to know.

She did say that she knew I would probably hear a lot of BS from the kids at school about sex and she wanted me to know the truth. She has always been open and honest with me, so I guess in retrospect, she was doing the right thing. There is a lot of mis-information out there.

I had sex ed in high school. I remember it focused more on things like STDs, AIDs, pregnancy and contraception. They went over all options, including abstinence, but didn't stress one method/philosophy over another, which I think is cool.
