Why is is that somehow the season 1 theme was restored enough to be used for syndication, but it couldn't be done for seasons 2,3,4, and 5? That's just laziness and I've played around with the openings and music and I see there is a way for the themes to be properly restored!

oh I have some of them saved on my hard drive and also have a tape made by our very own Larry Tate here, that includes the original openings, commercials, "Bewitched Back in a Minute", and "Bewitched has been brought to you by" on selected episodes from his 16 mm collection

At least in the Season 5 DVD we see Sam and Darrin on the Chevy logo in the end credits...

I think that can be seen at the closing credits for the episode "The Midas Touch"........there is also another episode in season 5 that shows Darrin and Sam on a cloud (a covered up Chevy logo).

In the First two seasons there was a window in the upper left corner & a door on the right side of the stove, these were gone in the 3rd season opening.

As well the sink which was separate from the stove in the first two seasons was joined up with it in season three, and the white Cat jumping into Darrin's arms in the first two seasons was replaced with a Black cat in season three.

Another thing is that every year the musical & sound effects changed in the animated opening, my personal favorite is the season two version as it had more sound effects that were witchy & seemed to indicate Samantha flying on her broom, loved the chimes that year, what was the favorite of all yours?

I agree as well that seasons 2 & 3 had the best Animated opening
music & sound effects, they just had more Zip, Zap, Zing to them
i think & illustrated Samantha flying about so well.

I was wondering the same thing when I got my set today. On episode 1, it had MCMLXVI (1966), at the bottom of the animated opening, and it confused me.
Now, after reading these posts, I understand.
