On the task of Ethel-mother fiasco, I do believe that Ethel would have been a good mother if given the chance. She was excited about Lucy's pregnancy with LR, helped along with him as a baby, I do believe if given the task Ethel would go to all of her ability to ensure that Little Ricky was raised right. As for Fred, hmpf - I highly doubt he would have been the fatherly type, but he may have shown some paternal instincts at moments. I recall a particular moment when Lucy was pregnant and Fred had bought the unborn baby baseball (?) equipment. I would like to believe Fred would have done things such as that for Little Ricky - but I don't think that he would love him as much as Big Ricky would as a father. Just my $0.02. No use for it anyhow. |

![]() I think Ethel would make an excellent mother. I think she'd always be on Fred's case to do the right thing. And don't forget that Fred did have a soft spot for Little Ricky.
