Definitely MR. BRADLEY: he was the youngest one, he was soo hilarious, very down to earth, a bit a confidante to the girls in a goofy way + he was so funny when he was all over the moon over BLAIR s mum (on "like mother like daughter episode).
My 2d choice would be MR. PARKER: he always cracked me up whenever he ran to MRS. G for advice or to demand his order + he had good chemistry with the girls too. |

Mr. Bradley and Mr. Parker were the only headmasters with any depth to them. The man who played Mr. Parker, Roger Perry, brought a lot of nice, subtle nuances to his role, which would otherwise have been 'the heel'. Given the fact that he wasn't in a large number of episodes, he did well with the role he was given. He felt real.
But my favorite headmaster is Mr. Bradley, played by John Lawlor. It's really a shame they couldn't have brought him back for guest appearances during Seasons 2-3. Even though the was a bit of a jerk, you could tell that, in the end, he cared for the girls at Eastland. |

What always gets me when watching the season 2 kick-off is that there's no explanation for Mr. Bradley's disappearance. They could have at least mentioned something, even something as little as Mrs. Garrett telling the girls at the police station: "I just got off the phone with the new headmaster." Just that one word, "new", and we would at least have that sense of "Oh, okay, so Mr. Bradley's left Eastland."
But nothing?? It just bothers me and seems very odd since they go to the trouble of keeping continuity with cameos from the season 1 girls, but not one tiny mention of Mr. Bradley or a "new" headmaster. |

That's an excellent point. That single word, 'new', would have given quite a bit of closure to the character... not a lot, but something. But they were so focused on introducing Jo (FOL's Fonzie) that nearly everything else was neglected.
But this show was never good about saying goodbye to characters or giving closure to fans. It was always "jump on whatever's hot right now". I can think of many characters who were never given any sort of on-screen farewell: the Lost Girls; George Clooney; Miss Mahoney; the little street urchin girl Kelly, who disappeared around the time Edna got that mysterious huge delivery of meat... |

Exactly, "closure"---that's what it would have been, what would have been easy to do, yet it wasn't done. ??

As for Kelly...good riddance! lol I could not stand her. I was with Jo on that one, lol. And Miss Mahoney cameos would have been nice too.

I have some theories.
Miss Mahoney left Eastland in a scandal when it turned out she was pregnant and unmarried, something that had never happened to faculty in Eastland's 100+ year history. She left the school in disgrace, traveling to Hawaii. At the end of the school year, Mr. Bradley booked a flight to Hawaii, realizing he was still madly in love with Miss Mahoney, who he had impregnated. He told no-one of this. He missed his flight, due to Molly's antics, but later caught the red-eye. They were married the next day. The resulting scandal, when the Eastland school board learned of the affair, caused them to fire Mr. Bradley immediately. The next schoolmaster was hired right away, so by the time of the next school year, he had already been in the position for several months, hence Mrs. Garrett not referring to him as "new" anymore. The Eastland staff knew better than to speak of the scandal openly, thus Mr. and Mrs. Bradley were never mentioned again. Sue Ann and Nancy had already entered the auditorium when Blair and Jo were in the auditorium lobby. That's why we didn't see them. Cindy was sitting in the audience; there's no way she would have missed the graduation of her roommate of at least two years (Sue Ann). Kelly ended up as some of that mystery meat in the Halloween episode. It was a fate well-deserved, after all her shoplifting, lying, and scheming. Kelly brisket goes down well with buttered scones and quiche. |

I'm actually glad MR BRADLEY got married with MRS HOGMANEY cos they seem suit for each other lol: same kind if humour and that would explain why they never appeared after season 1, although i have to say i missed them! (they really cracked me up man!)
