it seems crazy, but the more you watch Idol the more you realize how manipulated it is.
I see. Thank you for that info. I hear on the entertainment news how the judges supposedly show favoritism towards a particular singer but since the judges don't score, I wondered, how does their favoritism even matter in the voting. I think I understand it now.

yeah its not just the judges either, its other stuff too. like...top 3 week, for one round the producers choose a song for each of the 3 contestants. they gave Archuleta and Syesha extremely obscure, weird songs, yet gave David Cook "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. coincidence? i think not

Simon did his best to give it to Archuleta with his knock out remark. I think it was far from a knock out though. That remark may have actually motivated the Cook voters. I think America got it right. But like Simon said, and I pretty much agree, I wouldn't have minded seeing either one win.

Do you think they should change the format such as have songs written on paper, put in a box and have the contestants pull the song out rather than have songs chosen for them? Or something like that? Know what I mean?

yep, i think it was obvious they did that to rile up Cook fans more, especially with Simon's comments on finale night. i thought it was weird Simon was praising Archuleta so much since he never seemed to care for him that much.

they actually used to that in Seasons 1 and 2 but they stopped and then changed that round to Clive Davis' choice...then Clive Davis' choice was replaced with producers' chouce. not sure why

Personally on Finale night, I think they picked the right song for Archuleta and Cook. I think Archuleta played it safe tho singing Imagine.

nah, it was Carrie and Anthony Fedorov, and it wasn't on purpose. they just happened to choose the same song.

unless you're referring to Inside Your Heaven, but that was the coronation song.

ANYWAY...having all of them sing the same song would be kinda weird, but it could be interesting too.

Yeah inside your heaven. And they still both had to sing it, which was odd. The Davids didnt both sing the coronation song.
