Those ambervisions in the re-enactment were horrifying........watching that initially as a youngster I knew that poeple who looked like that were to be avoided.

Yikes! I didn't even recognize him at first, he hasn't aged well and he seems to have lost a lot of weight since the update first aired where he was escorted away buy the police.

Three questions:
1. How is it that guys like this get out of prison? (he was released after being comsidered "safe to re-enter society"). 2. How is it that a woman can end up marrying a guy like this? (he was married for a few weeks to a new wife when he was located). 3. How is it that parents who leave their chidren at home alone even allow them to answer the door and do anything other than force them to keep the door locked and closed at all times? |

He wasn't in prison he was in a state mental hospital and crimes like these were not taken nearly as seriously back then as they are now. Not saying it is right but that is just how it is. At that time and even now, leaving kids that are 11, 12 years old at home alone during the day anyway is not particularly unusual. Kids are told not to open the door but kids are impressionable and sadly sometimes things like this happen. It is not a perfect world, no parent is perfect and stupid and bad stuff happens sometimes.

While he was on the run, Kenneth Robert Stanton had a successful period disguised as 1970's singer Rupert Holmes. In picture #2, we see Stanton as Holmes snidely mocking the FBI with a pair of half-undone handcuffs.
