well, I like Mariah too. But you are forgetting the whole Glitter era in 2001. Mariah was then what Britney is now, remember the TRL appearence with the ice cream and the strip-tease? that was a trainwreck if ever there was one. Then she checked herself into the hospital. Granted, she's certainly recovered from it, but you can't forget that several years ago, Mariah was certainly a trainwreck and that TRL appearence is classic for the wrong reasons.

I don't think Mariah is a whore at all, but I do agree with SBTB on the fact that she can't fit into size 0, but yet she still does it and it's really tragic on her. She's an attractive healthy woman, but she needs to wear something a little less tight and revealing because she is not the same figure she was when the Honey video came out. No, I'm not saying she's fat (I think people are too harsh on her weight), just saying it's time she puts a little more clothes on, or wears a size 4 instead of 0.

Mariah did go through a breakdown, but I don't really think it's all that comparable to what Britney is going through. Britney's is far worse, and much more serious.

I don't care for Mariah, however, I love her figure. She is not bony thin, she has curves. She looks healthy, she takes care of herself and she doesn't give the impression that she sleeps around, takes drugs or drink to infinity. She has a look that I think most people in the public eye should look at. She is not fat. I think Mariah carries herself well in the things she wears. I'd rather see a woman Mariah's size wear those sexy outfits than some girl who is A SIZE 0 and all you see is bones and flesh hanging off of those bones. I think most men find the body of Mariah more flattering than any Olsen "Bony" Twins any day.

I can respect the fact that you don't like Mariah. Even though you may not like her you still have a great view of things.

No comment on Whinehouse, as I don't know enough about her. I don't think there's anything wrong with Britney's outfit in the first picture. That's something I can picture Heather Locklear wearing or my 24 year old niece. She has a short skirt or shorts, and is showing an inch of skin. Britney looks like she has good hygiene too.

Good point about Madonna. I don't care what year it is, trashy is trashy, whether it's the 80s or now. I just love these justifications. I've seen Madonna wear clothes recently that look like they belong on a 20-year old. There have been stories about just about all stars, whoring their way to the top. Who knows what's true. None of them are angels.

She isn't dressing any differently today than she was in 1997 when she was considered to be her sexiest and the best shape of her life. She'd look a lot better if she wore just a little more than she wears, the bra-and-panties look just doesn't cut it anymore, and it's not so much her size as well as it is her age. She should dress a little more size-appropriate. And remember, I said she's not fat, but you can't put Size 0 on a Size 5 without it looking really bad, and that's precisely what Mariah does.

well, Mariah actually knew something was wrong and got helped. Britney is playing with fire and seeing how dangerous she can live and see how much she can risk death and live. A lot of people believe Brit will attempt suicide this year, and it's not funny, but the rate she's going, if she doesn't do a turnaround fast, she will be in the hospital comatose, or even worse, dead.

But how one dresses does not make them a trainwreck. It is called bad fashion choices. But if that is how Britney, Amy and Mariah want to dress, so be it. They could be wearing potato sacks for all I care, that doesn't change how they behave in their private life.

How Mariah dresses can't change the fact the woman can sing and sell records. She had her meltdown and got help for it. Kudos to her. Believe me, I don't think the way Mariah dresses affects at all how people feel abt her and her music.

I love Mariah, but I do agree with this. I really wish she would realize she has enough talent not to resort to dressing like she sometimes does. I loved finally being able to see her live on her last tour, but some of the outfits made me cringe. When you go to a Mariah show, you are going for the voice. Now, a Britney show on the other hand, you certainly aren't going for the singing. A person would be going to see Britney for the entertainment, and someone like that would resort to wearing "slutty" clothes. Mariah could even pull off wearing something sexy, while still having an element of class, but for the most part, she doesn't.

I agree with this as well. While her choice of clothing sometimes makes me roll my eyes, it doesn't change how much I love her, and how big of a fan I am.
