Growing Pains and Who's the Boss? were top 10 shows, until they were moved to Saturday nights during their last seasons, where they were cancelled.

Definitely "Flamingo Road." It was gaining an audience after its first season, but for the second season, they put it up against "Hart to Hart," which was doing extremely well for ABC at the time. So, that sucky scheduling, combined with some questionable storylines in its second season, pretty much ended "Flamingo Road" in May 1982...when it could have easily lasted until at least 1986 or 1987, maybe even living throughout the rest of the primetime soap era.

I loved Flamingo Road but yea I didn't watch it during the second season. If only I had a VCR then.

3rd Rock from the Sun was totally screwed by NBC. Although at least it did manage to stay on the air despite all the timeslot changes.

Christy (1994-95, CBS) (went up against Mad About You and Wings on NBC, and The Simpsons on FOX)

Flip Wilson's show on NBC was a huge hit until CBS put a new show called The Waltons in the same timeslot. Flip got creamed in the ratings and his show got cancelled!! Wow!!

I'll need a list of every TV show that aired on Fox during the 1990s.

Perfect Strangers was last seen regularly on Saturday nights in 1992. The remaining 6 or so episodes were run as part of TGIF in the summer of 1993.

Wanda at Large - Fox moved both it and Boston Public to Friday nights and they were both gone by the end of the season.

it seems every show on this thread either was moved ot Friday or Saturday nights to slowly die.

How about The Ropers? It was moved to Sunday nights for it's second season, where it came in just shy of 30th place, then was cancelled.

Malcolm in the Middle. I don't know how it stayed on air for as long as it did, because Fox was constantly switching the time or day. I remember it going from Tuesday, Sunday and Friday a few times.

Actually it aired on Saturday nights opposite Chips...one of the reasons I didn't watch it during season 2.
