It would be a shame to lose the board over some obnoxious behavior. By and large, I think most folk in the fanfic community get along fine.

It might be a little too soon to evoke a ban of any troublemakers -- though that is a effective option.

Since some of the questionable comments seem deliberately inflammatory, I doubt that *everyone* would be able to hold to a "just ignore the troublemakers" rule.

So ... the option to monitor our posts to curtail any "hot spots" before they get out of hand sounds like the best bet.

I'd be happy to help out if needed.

(By the way, thanks TJ, for giving us an opportunity to take care of this ourselves before you are forced to delete the board because of the headaches associated with a problem like this!)

I vote #3. I'd be happy to volunteer to help. I love fanfic!

Blair: I can't believe this! My parents are spending a fortune so I can get frostbite!
Nat: It's not that bad.
Blair: Maybe not to you, but a Warner is like a delicate souffle.
Jo: Yeah, light and empty.

Captain: Didn't you ever have a dog, Jinny?
Jinny: I had a plant once. It didn't make it.

I vote for option #3 and could volunteer if needed. Some of the fan fiction is pretty good, some is obviously written by 12-14 year olds. Not that there is anything wrong with that, so please don't be offended kids. I think fan fiction is a great hobby. Some of you guys have real potential and I think you could develop into real writers when you grow up.
One last thing, I do wish you guys would finish your story BEFORE you post it. And the "coming soon" and "preview" posts are kind of unnecessary.
Just my opinion.

ok the tribe has spoken, deleting the board was not really an option - I just wanted to see what kind of reaction it would get

coily2 will be made a moderator as I believe she can be fair and impartial.. plus she spelled volunteer right which was a plus!

a few words of advice to sitcomwriter:

1) do not post under unregistered names on your own stories - you will fool no one and your topics will be deleted if you continue to do so!

2) do not constantly post that your fan fictions are the best, let them speak for themselves

3) treat others like you want to be treated, I know its cliche but you and a few others are not following it.. if you want to be friends with people on here, your not going about it in the right way.

to Cassandra, I DO NOT want to see any new topics on this matter.. and I don't want to see any more arguing on here!

Hey, I'm fair and impartial, and I don't like people being mean. I am responsible, a little lazy(LOL) but I can always be counted on to do the right thing. Not to mention.....
I can SPELL volunteer! LOL again, ok well. Anywayz I gtg but just choosing one person too pick and choose is kinda unfair in itself TJ. Just letting you know.bye

DramaQueenTootie,

Don't fret about it too much. Things really aren't going to be any different than they have been in the past. The only thing I'll do is close off a topic or modify a post if we get into World War III again.

TJ, thanks for putting your faith in me.

I have one thing to say before I leave.

If we chose our president on his spelling abilities, then what kind of a country would we have? WHO CARES if you can spell? Heck, I can spell 'volunteer' and I have been since I was on 3rd grade. I'm sure coily2 will do a great job. I'm just sorry that I won't be around to see it.

Thank you for your time,
Kenzie
