Look at producer Peter Engel, for his teen tv shows, he made about 8 of them, most of the time he used people who were older than teen age. Look at Elizabeth Berkley she was like 3 years or so older than the rest of them and was already out of school when they moved from Indianapolis jr. high school to California high school.
Califonia Dreaming comes to mind as most of the cast was in their 20's playing high school teens. Anson Williams and Donnie most, were alot older than Ronnie Howard and they were playing high school kids. Tracey Gold was older than Kirk Cameroon in real life, yet she played the younger sister to Kirk. Head of the class comes to mind as another show that used more people who were older than a teenager playing a teen ager. Welcome Back Cotter is another one. |
