Ohhhhhhhh yeah. Lol. In fact, Ms. Michaelsen has the distinction of being my very first crush. She was so cute. She is still a beautiful woman.

I always thought Lara was cute too

Bringing this thread to the top of the page is really just one more attempt to stimulate some more conversation about the show. If you read the response two posts ago, you know that Lauri Hendler is the one that I had a crush on during my teenage years. After I finish up here, I might go over to her official site and give her guestbook one more sign. In any event, in the episode known as "Samantha's Protest" seeing Julie get the joy of seeing Katie's bubble being bursted at the end, in a sense, gave me a sense of joy. In my last post, I mentioned Katie's fruitless efforts to get the handsome boy from the protest to ask her out. I really admired the way that Julie took a stand for decency and sophistication. I thought it was "great" when she yanked one of Katie's arms away from the boy and said "like this Katie"! She then looked towards Nell and said "that's discusting"! I always thought that learning that the boy was taking Samantha to a movie the next day really served Katie right for not getting her hormones in check and keeping her mits to herself! What do other people think?

It seems to be the trend that I bring this post to the top of the page and one other person responds to it. After this, people start other threads or bring older ones up to the top. This thread then tends to seem forgotten again! I am now bringing it back to the top in hopes of getting at least one more person's imput! I would now like to respond to the one and only person was has posted since the last time that I posted. Even though I thought that Lara Jill Miller played the part of a rather nice girl, she never had what it took to make me salavate. Even when she got older, sprouted a chest and even wore a dress once in a while. However, in the episode, "Samantha's Protest", I was very happy about the fact that the handsome boy from the protest was taking her to a movie the next day. This is simply because, during the protest, she behaved in a much more decent manner and was a much more deserving person than Kari Michaelson's character. However, it was the character played by Lauri Hendler that always did it for me! This episode was no exception to episodes in which she behaved in a manner that I thought was "priceless"! To start with, I thought that it was "halarious" when she and Katie walked through the front door and she said "I cant 'believe' the hight of your egotism! He was not whisleing at you! He was calling his dog! Also, at the protest, I thought it was great when she yanked one of Katie's arms away from the boy and said "like this Katie"! She than turned toward Nell and said in response to what Katie was doing "that's disguesting"! After all was said and done, seeing Katie's bubble being bursted by Samantha at the end was just icing on the cake! Another moment that I thought was "priceless" was when Nell, Julie and Samantha made a circle around Katie and sang "Guantonmaro"! Those were the good old days!

When I was young and watched the show, I always had the hots for Katie. Now as an adult the Julie character is the one I feel I would most click with. Of course I still do think Katie is hot, lol.

Even though Julie was the one that I was always head over heals for (like I mentioned dozens of times on this thread and countless others), there was one thing about Katie's character that I liked a lot. This is her collection of purses. Ever since the time that I was twelve, I looked at a girls purse as being one of the many things about her attire that was different from a boy's and attractive to him. The character of Katie "very" seldom went anywhere without a purse! Another thing that I have mentioned countless times is the joy that I got in seeing Katie's bubble being bursted at the end of "Samantha's Protest". Well, even here, there was one thing about Katie's behavior that I liked a lot. Early in the episode, when she was day dreaming about the handsome guy who she and Julie saw on their morning stroll having whistled at her, she looked "very" sophisticated taking her purse off of her shoulder and hanging it on the back of the chair! This is one more reason why I am "very" anxious to see season three come out on DVD! Another time that I though Katie looked "great" as a purse carrier was in season two (which I have on a DVD from Canada). This episode was "Katie Steel's Julie's Jock". Although I thought that the athlete was a "fool" for passing up Julie, there was one scene that I thought Katie looked "great"! This is the scene when she was all ready to go on her second date with the boy. She looked like quite a number in her slacks and sweater combo! In my opinion, the pink purse that she put over her shoulder was the "perfect" accessory for this outfit!

Although I have, pretty much said what I am about to say dozens of times on this board, I am bringing this thread back up to the top in hopes of stiumulating some more conversation about this fine series! One of the reasons that I am doing this is that the boards are so slow and there is very little to respond to at the moment.

Like I have said in a lot of different places, including this very thread, Julie was the one that I had the hots for! Unlike whoever it was that wrote what I am now quoteing, Julie was my cup of tea from day one! I would say that the first time that I really craved her was when I saw the second-season episode called "Katie Steals Julie's Jock"! She in her leather designer boots was not to be believed! There is a lot more about this situation that I would like to say, however, I think that I should wait until and if ever someone responds to what I have already written before I post any more. Take care for now!

Because of how far down on the second page this thread was, I thought it would be fun to give newcomers to the site a chance to read what we were thinking once upon a time!

It has been about a week since anyone other than me has posted anything on this page. I have been doing everything that I can think of to stimulate some conversation about this fine show! Maybe bringing this thread to the top of the page will do the trick!

Because there seems to be a renewed interest in this show in general and season 3 in particular, I am going to try (yet again) to stimulate some conversation about a topic that I have tried dozens of times before! This topic is the episode known as "Samantha's Protest". Because Julie was the one that I had a huge crush on, I especially enjoyed seeing her smile light up about Katie's bubble being bursted at the end! I though she sounded very decent and sophisticated when she referred to Katie's behavior as being "disgusting"! On top of all of this, I thought that it was very funny early in the episode when she said "he was not whisteling at you, he was calling his dog"! Priceless! However, I would now like the opinion of some of the people whose heart belonged to Kari Michaelson and the part that she played. Did you feel bad when she experienced the shocking dissappointment at the end? Do you think that it was mean when Samantha wet Katie's appetite so she could then pull the rug out from under her? My personal opinion is that Katie deserved it!

Here's another vote for Lara Jill. For some strange reason I had a crush on her because of her dark skin. Plus back then I liked the girls that acted sweet and innocent. Back then I had crushes on Lara Jill Miller, Alyssa Milano, Danica McKeller and Josie Davis. Then a short time later Christine Lakin from Step By Step and Christie Abbott from the PBS series Wishbone.

Once again I see that we are in a rather slow period not only on this page but on a lot of pages throughout this site. It has been quite some time since there have been any new posts or even views on the pages of "Facts of Life" or "Friends". Because of this, I am now bringing a couple of oldies but goodies up to the top to see if I can stimulate some conversation.

Well, obviously I never had a crush on Kari, but she really was beautiful. All of the Gimme a Break girls were, actually.

In between my last post on this page, and the present moment, I have gone on to a bunch of other pages trying to stimulate some conversation about some of these fine series! So far, I do not have any responses. Because of this, I decided to see what happens if I bring this oldie but goody to the top of this page!
