In the California episodes when Lucy wants to be in the fashion show, she mentions how she burns in the sun easily. This is the only time she references this.

On the European trip, when Lucy misses the boat and has to eventually use a helicopter, she is afraid of heights. She can't stand looking out the window, much less, getting out. She didn't have a problem with heights when she was on the world's tallest building (then the world's tallest) on the very top when she was playing a martian.

Yes, she also hid out on the window ledge in the episode in which she "tests Rickey's love" when he rushes home after a phone call from Lucy in which she tells Ricky there's a man with a gun coming after her. Once she was out there a few seconds, she seemed to be quite comfortable.

I can't remember, but did she hide outside the window in the "Superman" episode? Wasn't she going to 'fly' into the living room from the window ledge during Little Ricky's party ?

Yes, she was on the legde as Superman. How about in "Vacation From Marriage," when she and Ethel get locked on the roof in their nightgowns? Lucy puts a plank from one roof to another and then walks across it.

Also, it is very convenient that there is a plank on the roof. And what about the garden hose? I've never known a building like that to have running water on the roof!

in the episode LUCY TELLS THE TRUTH, she states they live in apt. 3-D. The Ricardos actually lived in apt. 3-B. It was changed only for this episode so the joke abt 3rd dimension could be stated.

We see Ricky's mother only once when she comes to visit and Lucy tries to impress her.

The trip to Cuba where we see Ricky's uncle who Ricky says practically raised him when he was a young boy in Cuba. We never heard abt this uncle before or after this episode.

When the Ricardos are trying to lease their apt. for the summer, they end up staying at the Mertzes while that man lives in their apt. and won't leave. Well, Ricky comes in at the end saying that his agent got him a gig in Del Mar, California for the summer. We never hear abt this trip ever! Also, if they did go to California for the summer, apparently the Hollywood trip was not the FIRST TIME they went to California. There is also another episode where Lucy mentions that she visited a Hollywood studio. Remember when she and the Mertzes are making that cowboy production in her living room for the talent scout? Well, Ethel asks how does Lucy know so much abt the filmining process. Lucy responds when she and Ricky were in Hollywood once and they viewed a studio set. So, according to this information, when Ricky went to Hollywood to be a star, this was their THIRD time going to California.

Ok, so what happened to Ricky's movie? We know there was a premiere in New York when they returned. What movie was it? In Hollywood the movie was apparently "shelved" and that another "project" was going to be done with Ricky. So, did he end up making the new movie or what??????

Why was $$$$ still tight if Ricky apparently made $$$$ from making this Hollywood movie?

Actually we do see Ricky's mother again in Cuba.I always wondered about Ricky's movie too they never said what it was about the only thing is later while they were in Florida we learn that Claude Akins was in it with him.
Another thing that stands out to me is that Ethel was born and raise in New Mexico but she has family-aunts and uncles living right there in New York-I guess on her mothers's side since her dad seems to be a native of N.M.
You also never see the Ramsay's when they did the hour long show
Another thing stands out to me in the early years Caroline Appleby seem to be equally good friends with Lucy and Ethel -they have the club meetings and play bridge and all but later they make it seem like she's mainly Lucy's friend and even have Ethel once saying "I thought she was one of your best friends?" for some reason this one bother's me than alot of the other things that don't add up.Maybe because it had always been played one way then later suddenly changed.

I guess when Lucy called little Stevie Appelby a funny looking monkey, that ended their "best friends" status.

Also, Ethel almost always wore dresses in the New York episodes, it wasn't until Connecticut we see her wearing more casual attire such as jeans. I know in the episode when the girls take up golfing the ladies wear pants...it just seems Lucy was seen way more often wearing pants than Ethel.

I just watched "Lucy Visits Grauman's," and I noticed how convenient it was that the Mertzes had a hammer in their hotel room when Ricky went to break the concrete off of Lucy's foot.

Also, how did Fred cut the bucket off of the block of concrete? And then he produced a large tub from the bedroom when they went back to return the slab. How would he know they would need that?

I guess part of their souvenir shopping included stocking up on hardware supplies.

As for the hammer, my thinking is that they had the hammer for the souvenir hunt, just in case (removing the concrete slab, etc.)

Did you notice also that the bucket of cement around her foot was supposed to weigh an exorbenent amount, that would certainly have broken Lucy's ankle when her foot was hanging over the chair the way that it was. Also, she was able to move it around very easily while on the chair.

The large tub was when they were supposed to fill it with cement and water and mix it for when they were to fill the gap in the ground after removing the slab.

Ok, Irene. I'll accept your explanations! With the weight of concrete, Lucy's foot would have snapped off in bed, they couldn't have lifted the slabs so easily, and with the tub stuck on her butt in the end, she couldn't have stood up!

They also were able to pick up the slabs before they dried!
