The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Odd Couple, Everybody Loves Raymond and The King of Queens had the best (IMO).

However, there was a problem with a flashback episode of King of Queens. Richie helped inrtoduce Doug and Carrie. After the actor who played Richie left the show, they did another flashback episode. This one flashbacked to their wedding. Because he was off the show, he didn't appear at the wedding. I know that's a nitpick, but it bugs me.

And The Odd Couple was a great show, but sometimes the flashback episodes contradicted one another.

Flashback episodes gave Dick Van Dyke a chance to show the audience how he would react when his wife is pregnant. Instead of making her pregnant again, they just went back in time.

As for the clip shows kind of flash back, as a kid I enjoyed them. But now I don't. When I watched "Friends" on DVD in order, I'd be upset when they start showing flashbacks.

If it's old footage it's really annoying because you were expecting a new episode and your just getting stuff you've already seen. It also gets boring because it doesn't have a real plot line. They are o.k if all the flashbacks relate well and arn't just what looks like random scenes. I really like episodes that go back in time that you haven't seen before. It shows what the charectors were like in the past which is intreasting to see. I really like friends flashback epsodes.

I love the flashback episodes when they are new stuff. The Golden Girls and Everybody Loves Raymond have done these best I feel. For The Golden Girls, it fit one of the themes of the show, to have them sit around the table with a cheesecake and reminisce. And it gave Estelle Getty a chance to act without all the Sophia make-up. I particularly enjoyed the one where they think back to how they all met. I like the clipshow's on ELR to see what their lives were like before the show, how Debra and Ray first met, their wedding, when their first child was born, when they were talking about where to live and how it should be far away from his parents, etc. Clipshows are just a waste, and both Friends and The Golden Girls are guilty of doing these way to often.

yea, "The Dick Van Dyke show" had a lot of inconsitincies in their flasback episodes, as did "The Odd Couple"

That's my favorite episode of the entire series. The map and the whole "overnight, everday, just right" circles was hysterical.

It depends if I liked flashback episodes. Only if the series is not shown in reruns currently is only when I like flashback episodes. Like I remember with new shows, they wouldn't show past episodes from like 4 years ago, so seeing the old clips bring back memories.

If by flashback you mean clip show, then no.

If by flashback you mean original scenes that take place years before the show started, then yes. The flashback episodes of "Friends" are often the most fondly remembered of that show.

I like when they have flashback episodes because then if you haven't seen the episode that they show in a flashback you can see a little clip of it when they do show it.Family Ties has some flashback episodes. I really like them.
