We swear that she's part maine coon! She has the same kind of fur and just is very big like Maine Coons, but when we adopted her they just put down "tabby".

I did see a real Maine Coon once and it was A LOT bigger than my kitty!

lol, it's a she! We feed her Science Diet LIGHT- but I guess that's not really working. She's on a diet. Well, as much as we can get her to be on a diet. It's VERY hard to get a cat to lose weight because obviously THEY aren't making any effort to lose any. She's supposed to lose 5 lbs according to her vet!

How do you say her name? Because I know someone named Sian, but it's pronounced "Sharn"! Just wondering if it's pronounced the same or not.

I know what you mean, the first one I had (that looked like your guy) we just got at a pet store in 1974. We knew he was a big kitten for 3 mos., but had no idea about the breed. It wasn't until we took him to our vet for his shots and a checkup that he said he was a tabby main coon (tabby is just a description of the striping pattern in the coat). You should ask your vet - could be he's part main coon (the huge tale, tiny "chirp" of a meow and friendly personality are the giveaways). Smokey got to be about 18 lbs.
My current coon is a red tabby (orange rather than brown). We got him from a proper breeder. He's currently about 22 lbs. and he is massive. I sometimes use his pic (him in a bar sink) as my avatar.
They're the 2nd largest breed of domestic cat next to the Rag Doll.

Sorry - bit off topic here, but these guys ARE my kids!!

It's kind of a long story. A friend of mine named his dogs after power tools. He has 2 german shepherds named Mikita and Ryobi. My Granddaughter loved the name Ryobi. So when they got their new puppy she wanted to name him Ryobi. So thats his name!
