Are you going to still be living at home? Because half the reason for going to college is that you're finally on your own and you don't have to listen to anyone's rules but your own. I know that if I was still living at home, I'd go insane. Luckily I live 300 miles from home on the other side of the state.

Yeah I am but it's not worth the extra $$$ to live 20 minutes away on campus. I don't think it's half the reason to be in college.. I'm more concerned with my education. My parents aren't strick with me at all because I don't do anything bad. I think I'll be okay. Plus, this is only undergrad.. I want to be a psychologist so I can always go away for grad school and beyond.

I hear that. I was gonna miss it and going to college scared me, but damn...I was so sick of my classmates.

And then my freshman year turned out to a lot like HS and I was all like, WTF was I so worried about?

Yea, it's really up to the individual person. I couldn't picture living at home anymore just because I'm such a different person now than when I was still in high school. But hey, to each his own.

lol...I was happier at home. I do believe I would have killed my roommate and destroyed the room by the end of the year had I had to take anymore of that girl, that dorm, or that loser town.

Oh I know. The only thing that changed for me was the living situation and not seeing my parents everyday, but homework, lectures, note taking, etc., didn't change a bit. But on a whole, I think the work load is a lot easier. Or maybe it's because It's for thing for my major and not stupid reqirements.

That town wouldn't have happened to be Iowa City, would it? We passed by it on our way to Chicago two weeks ago.

You were in Iowa and you didn't tell me?

No, actually it was Cedar Falls. Iowa City might have been a better place to live...though I've never actually been there. I get to the outlet mall in Williamsburg and don't get any farther.

All I took that year was stupid gen ed courses, but half the time, it was the exact same stuff I'd done in HS. My chem class was almost a duplicate, as was the Econ class. Though if you'd have watched my roommate, you'd would have thought all a college girl does is study.

Well, I was so tired I was drifting in and out of sleep when we hit Iowa. We took I-80, so we passed through Council Bluffs, Des Moines, Iowa City, and Davenport. Other than that, the state is nothing but the same repetetive scenes over and over again for five hours. Passing through the cities was the only good part cause at least you get to see something else. Same goes for Nebraska.

Oh, now farm land is interesting!

No...not really. Driving from Des Moines to Council Bluffs is long and boring. But you drove by my work and my house. That is terribly interesting.
