It always bothered me that they never even bothered to give Jeannie's
sister a name! At least, on BEWITCHED Samantha's twin had a name
[Serena]. (Come to think of it, the idea of naming a genie "Jeannie" didn't
require a lot of imagination -- but it did work nicely into the title of the show.)

But then, maybe genies in general don't have names--the genie in Disney's
"ALADDIN" is simply called Genie. The only genie besides Jeannie that did
have a name (that I can think of) was Babu in the Hanna-Barbera cartoon
version of JEANNIE.

..James Henerson's part. In "Jeannie Or the Tiger", when Tony wonders why Jeannie's sister is also named "Jeannie", she shrugs it off by claiming, "We are all genies".

I prefer brunettes myself but I gotta go for blonde Jeannie. There are things about the brunette Jeannie I liked like that she was sultry and sexy and the way she said daaaarrrrrllllllllling. That was kinda cool, and she was always able to dupe her sister.

And I loved how Barbara looked in several of the black & white episodes in particular when she wore other outfits, with great looking '60s hairstyles.

I heard that originall Jeannie was supposed to be brunette. They feared using a blonde Jeannie would just be another way the show would be too similar to Bewitched. But Barbara Eden won over everyone.
