Oh, I got an awesome breast cancer tye dyed one from VONS. They're selling them for $3 a piece. I work next door so the manager put one on me and told me whenever I had the money to pay for it to do so... that he knew he'd get the money cause I'm always over there everyday. I paid for it that day too.. I really like it... haha It says "Liiivvve long.. support breast cancer research and education." Here's a picture... http://i1.ebayimg.com/03/i/02/6b/5a/85_1_sbl.JPG
Hardly anyone wears them here.

I don't think anyone from my school even knows what it means. Yet everyone has one.

I got mine because of what it stands for - and cos Teresa Heinz Kerry has one

I think I saw someone wearing those, but have only seen one person wearing one.

Does it make any of you feel pathetic that it is trendy so you are all scrambling to get one?

Yes, but there's some on ebay that are now up to over $20. The bracelets only cost $1.

I don't want one because it's trendy. I want one because I know people with cancer and I know people who have died of cancer and I want to support the cause.

I bought one but I threw it out. This was before they got popular, I was paying for my sneakers at Foot Locker and they asked if i'd like to donate $1 so i said sure. I didn't realize i'd be stuck with some ugly yellow thing.

The Yellow ones are kinda ugly. I have one, but still.

I think it is a good cause, but everyone who wears them in my school spin them and chew on them and throw them everywhere.

Wow.... talk about a rip off! See, now THAT, I didn't know. I can't believe how people can overcharge like that. It's not morally correct.

Right, but if you buy one from someplace other than the Lance Armstrong foundation, your dollar (or whatever you pay) doesn't go toward cancer research it goes into the person you buy it from's pocket. So even though it's an actual Livestrong bracelet you're not helping the cause at all.

You can go to a bike store and buy the liveSTRONGS, the breast cancer ones you can get at a hospital, all the others are fake so don't bother.
