First two seasons of Happy Days are great. Real 50s atmosphere, outdoor scenes at the Drive-in. I'll get those.

Later Happy Days (The Fonzie show: whistle, applause on cue) rivals the worst television ever made.

Laverne and Shirley I used to enjoy, but there's nothing really special about it fo me. Can't buy everything.

But before these posts, you had been watching L&S, posting on the board, and getting tapes of the show?

So which is it?
Do you like the show or not, because you are completely contradicting yourself.

I can watch the show on TV but i won;t buy it. And i never purchased the tape of L&S eps i received eps n a tape trade. Th only reason tose eps are in my collection is because they are full length

The only DVD's I usually buy are TV on DVD and I might actually buy Laverne and Shirley. I'm not into Happy Days so wouldn't buy that.

Ditto on buying mostly TV-DVDs over movies. I find that Season TV-DVD sets are a better value than a few single movies. I'm mostly just into owning movies (mostly comedies and dramas) from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and I already have most of the titles I want from those decades. (well, the ones that are available on DVD, anyway) As for modern movies, I usually either just rent them, or if I really like the flick, I'll buy it on DVD.

Another reason I'm not buying the Happy Days DVD sets, is because that is a show where I would probably watch each episode only once, so I definitely have to pass. Plus in August I already have Alf, Boy Meets World and Laverne & Shirley on my plate.
