Didn't they consider themselves to be best friends by the end of the series? I'm sure I heard Blair refer to "my best friend, Jo" in one of the later episodes. Their growing friendship was one of the best things about the entire series, IMHO.

You always know exactly what to say, don't you TV Guy? Hence, I'm agreeing with you once again...

And don't forget that Blair was the Maid of Honor at Jo's wedding. As far as her daughter not having an attitude, Jo herself had mellowed considerably the last couple of seasons.
