That's partly what baffled me about the Taxi first-season (1978-79) release. Why it lists "Full Screen Format," "Dolby Digital," and "English Mono" under a box for "Special Features" is something that hardly makes sense.

Attached is a picture of that back cover of the first-season Taxi release, so you can see what I mean. Look in the upper-right corner.

Exactly. Those are not "Special Features". Those are "The Most Basic-of-Basic Features" lol.

Just look at the meaty feast the Mama's Family set comes with:

*The Carol Burnett Show Family sketch (Family Reunion)
*"Eunice" TV Movie
*Cast Reunion Roundtable
*Beverly Archer (Iola) Interview
*Alan Kayser (Bubba) Interview
*Vicki Lawrence (Mama) Interview
*Dorothy Lyman (Naomi) Interview
*Ken Berry (Vint) Interview
*Betty White (Ellen) Interview
*Vicki Lawrence and Carol Burnett Interview
*Family Tree: The Seeds Featurette (Show History)
*Family Style Featurette
*Family Fun and Games Featurette
*Family Folklore Featurette (Crack-ups, Mishaps, and Bloopers)
*Extra Bloopers
*Ret Turner (Wardrobe) Interview
*Rick Hawkins (Executive Producer) Interview
*Jim Evering (Writer) Interview
*Manny Basanese (Writer) Interview
*Vicki Lawrence interviews Mama Interview

Now those are bonus features!

Indeed! That Mama's Family release really brought the goods, didn't it?

Back to what I said about Taxi: the second- and third-season releases (1979-81) listed the same basic features that the first one did; the difference with those is that the misleading "Special Features" heading was omitted. The reason I say that is that I agree with your response about picture and audio formats being the most basic of features, which practically every disc has, IINM.

Here you are:

Season 4 Graduation 48:36
Season 5 Brave New World 48:32
Season 5 The Way We Were 48:43
Season 6 Taking a Chance on Love 48:26
Season 8 Out of Peekskill 48:21

The times include the original Embassy closing logo and the current Sony closing logo.

Yeah, most of season 4 apparently had the Embassy logos cut (if they weren't in-credit logos), but starting with Graduation on though disc one of S5, the old Embassy logos have been consistently included.

Although this is a forum about The Facts of Life, I'm hoping that the upcoming fourth-season (1982-83) release of Hart to Hart does not have CPT's 80s Coke Lady logo cut off from it like the Embassy logo in these fourth-season episodes of Facts apparently has in this full-series release.

I'm loving it. I'm almost halfway through Season 2 and even though I have a long way to go, it's great. I watch it whenever I can.

I am still on Season 6. Recently saw the episode where Jo turns down her bf marriage proposal and insta motherhood.

Season 7...

No more Embassy logos, though I don't know if they were there in the first place.

I like the retrospective style opening credits, with the scenes from past seasons. However, I hate the new theme, and the font used in the credits. And they abandoned the ending theme for a bad synth instrumental? Bad production crew. Bad.

The redesigned living room looks nice. It's brighter, better looking.

Not a big fan of Over Our Heads, though. IMO, Edna's Edibles could have just gotten a makeover to get rid of the wood and brighten the place up.

Amazon has lowered the price to $126.59. That's pretty darn good!

7 more days til this is mine!!! I can't wait!

I hope it arrives in great shape with no broken plastic and no missing discs.

The "Mister Ed" set I ordered from Amazon was a nightmare. EVERY case was broken and 2 discs were missing.

Wow, that's too bad! I read somewhere that Mister Ed's packaging was very flimsy for a box set of that size. My Facts set made it to Canada in mint condition and the outer case is very sturdy so hopefully you won't have any problems.
