Default Celebrities you would have loved to see on Wings

This is such a great show, and after seeing the ep with some of the Cheers gang, I got to thinking, who would you have loved to see do a guest appearance on WINGS, and if your imagination prompts you, write a brief theme or story line.

Me personally, I would have loved to see Chuck Yaeger guest on the show. A good story line would be having to hire a temporary pilot (you could have Brian getting sick with mono or chicken pox etc. and Chuck is one of the applicants, but Joe won't hire him because Chuck is too old. Finally, out of desperation he hires Chuck who flies a flight that gets into a severe storm and an engine begins to malfunction. The old guy stays cool, calm and collected and lands the Sandpiper gracefully. Also at the end of the show everyone toasts the safe landing with Champagne and the cork makes a loud pop, and Lowell jokes that maybe someone has just broken the sound barrier.

Another cute, and tongue in cheek guest ep could have been one with Dolly Parton, who comes from TX to visit her long lost cousin Helen, while on her way to a renowned Boston doctor to get some breast reduction surgery lol.

Fellow fans, love to hear your wish lists for celebrity guests who were never "WING-borne"

I would've loved to seen the following actors\actresess on the show:

Henry Winkler(Ayyyyyyyyyyyyy!)
Carroll O' Connor(not the best choice for a "Stuffy" sitcom like "Wings", but who cares?)
Ted Danson(All other Cheers And Frasier characters made guest appearances or cameos on Wings, EXCEPT Ted Danson

Yeah having Da Fonz on WINGS would've been cool. And Jean Stapleton along with "Archie"!

Rhea(Carla) and Woody never made an appearance on Wings either. I would have liked to seen Sam and Woody from Cheers on Wings, especially Woody. Have him come on and interact with Lowell and find out that they're distant cousins.

I can't really think of any other celebrities though, maybe some sports stars that played in Boston like Larry Bird or Kevin McHale (Kevin did appear on an episode of Cheers).

One of the things I liked about Wings was that they didn't have too many big name celebrities like Will and Grace and Friends did. Other than the characters from Cheers, the only ones that come to mind are George Kennedy, Tyne Daly(Tim's sister), Oliver North, Steve Young, Clint Black and I can't forget Debbie Reynolds.

It's from season six, titled "If It's Not One Thing, It's Your Mother" and yes, she plays Helen's mom.

Yeah, it was a good one. There's also an dramatic scene between her and Helen so it's some good acting all around. "Wings" could have touching scenes without making it a very special episode.

Speaking of character's moms, what did you think of the episode where Joe and Brian's mom returns? I loved Tim Daly's performance in that episode.

I would've loved for there to be a Wings Crossover With Cheers. That would have made an interesting two-parter
